Is it a good time for YOU to buy a home?

by Jay Robinson

In today's real estate market you may often hear real estate agents say "Right now is a great time to buy a home!"  And this is true, for many of you out there it is the ideal time to buy a home - interest rates are at all time lows, it continues to be a strong buyer's market and home pricing and values continue to remain pretty steady in our area. However, even with all of these positive reasons that create the "great time to buy" environment it is not necessarily the best time for everyone to buy, for a varied number of individualized and personal reasons. At Robinson Real Estate we understand that everyone's situation is different and we work with you to assess if it actually is the right time for YOU to buy or if that time may be a little further in the future instead...

Chattanooga Anxious for a Bike Share Program to begin summer 2011

by Treasure Coulter
The city of Chattanooga and Outdoor Chattanooga in partnership with Carta received a generous grant this past year to help establish a Bike Share Program in the Chattanoog area.  What is a Bike Share you may ask - well, a Bike Share Program is a network of bicycle kiosks where the general public can check out a bike to use around the city. It's a great way to move around town without having to transport a cumbersome bike into the city or store your own bike in oft limited residential spaces in the city.  Bike Share makes it easy to take a ride downtown to lunch from your office, scoot to or from your class on UTC campus or tour around the town as a visiting tourist. The plan in place is for this summer 2011 to have bicycle kiosks in place around downtown Chattanooga, UTC campus and North Chattanooga where bikes can be "checked out" for a small fee and returned at alternate kiosks near your destination. This is just another great way that Chattanooga is establishing itself as a great place to live and work and a city that is among the leaders of finding ways to become a greener place to be!
